Jan DIBBETS (b. 1941), Georges ROUSSE
CONSTRAINT : drawing or building a preconceived shape in 3-D within a “visual pyramid” (ALBERTI) that can only be recomposed when seen from the apex of that cone, which is precisely where the camera is placed.
INVENTION : perspective illusion (1960s & 1990s).
WORKS : “Perspective Corrections” (1968-1969, Dibbets) ; various 3-D constructions by Rousse of which, regrettably, only ϕs remain.
