WORKS : Description of apparatus and results in “Photography Extraordinary” (1855), reproduced in Lewis Carroll, Photographer (1949), ed. Helmut Gernsheim, Dover, New York, 1969. The idea was independently discovered by George Gardner ROCKWOOD (1832-1911, USA) whose report was published under the title : “Brain pictures : a Photo-Physiological Discovery — Is the Brain a Recording Camera? A Frozen Slice from the Cranium of a Dead Scientist Reveals Wonderful Things” in Anthony’s Photographic Bulletin 19, n° 3 (11 Feb. 1888) pp. 76-79.
